THE BEACON

We were so lucky to find such a great place to stay for our short break. Extremely comfortable and well equipped apartment with views to die for!

What a wonderful flat with fantastic views. Our 3rd visit to Filey in last few years & by far the best accommodation. How lovely to have breakfast & evening meals overlooking the sea. We have had good weather. One must walk out to the end of the Brigg. Also, visits to Flamborough, North & South Landing plus Bempton of course for the birds well worth it. A little gem is the café at Hunmanby Gap and lovely walks either side along the beach. Not forgetting Filey itself - a little gem - very relaxing to stroll along the prom with an ice cream and the Coble landing to finish. Thank you for the warm welcome. We have had a lovely holiday.

We have stayed in quite a few apartments and cottages in the 17 years we have been coming to Filey and can honestly say that 'The Beacon' is simply the best. We would love to stay here again but as my sister uses it also, I doubt we'll get the chance!

This has been a perfect way to celebrate Chris's 70th birthday in his beloved Yorkshire! You have thought of every convenience and comfort Sue; a warm welcome, bright, spotless & stylish home with a view everyone must just adore. We loved Filey - went to Robin Hoods Bay after 20 years away, visited Scarborough, Staithes - which was gorgeous and made a great find for Chris in the 'Spirit of Yorkshire' Distillery at Hunmanby - to be highly recommended. Enjoyed a very special meal at Downcliffe House Hotel, where we were treated like royalty with a bay window table overlooking the sea. The food was the best we have eaten in England for some time! Another little gem we discovered by accident was Sandsend! We feel sure we shall have to return to do all the things we didn't have time for... Thank so much Sue; this is a perfect 'retreat'. We so appreciated all the little extras!!!

Fabulous apartment, Sue you've thought of everything to make a stay comfortable. The weather has been wonderful. We have made the most of the balcony. Can't wait until we come back spring bank next year, maybe we will fit another week in before then. We have stayed in some lovely places in Filey but this tops the list. Thanks
